Serious question: who is your preferred candidate, and what is their biggest weakness?
Hoping for SERIOUS discussion, please. "My candidate is Hillary except she's an incompetent liar who should burn in hell", is not helpful, nor is "My candidate is Trump except his Nazi uniform doesn't fit." Please provide legitimate answers.
To start: I like Sanders, but his constant talk of "revolution" may very well turn off moderate voters, and he's going to need them.
Thanks everyone...nice to see some real responses! They were all good answers, but Lady Laissez Faire rung in first so she gets the points. I appreciate the discussion.

Bernie Sanders is my preferred candidate (at the moment). However, I am also warming up to Rand Paul, despite the fact the maqn will never be given the nomination.
The problem with Bernie is simple: he comes across as the angry old man down the street demanding kids stay off his lawn. The funny thing is the man has more energy than most of the other candidates combined LMAO

My candidate is Hillary, except that she has broken the law and will be under criminal indictment very soon. She also has a long history of attacking and destroying any of the many women victims of Bill's rapes and sexual harassment. She lied about the Bengazi attacks and then said "what difference does it make..4 dead Americans". She accomplished nothing as secretary of state and her policy in Syria allowed ISSIS to take root.
But despite all of that she is my candidate because Bernie is a hardcore admitted Socialist with an extreme radical past, even with all of Hillary's faults she is better than Bernie. I doubt either one of them has a chance of winning in November.

Sanders. His greatest weakness is probably foreign policy - he has little experience there and doesn't come off as particularly knowledgable. He doesn't deal terribly well with partisan attacks, which would be a problem in the campaign proper, and his being a old white Vermonter under attack for his gun control record isn't going to help him win the votes of African American democrats in the South.

I support Clinton. I think the fact that she is a career politician from a family of career politicians can be a turn-off. On the other hand, she also has a lot of experience. I like Sanders, but he does not have a strong enough record on gun control.

If I lived in the USA I would definitely choose Trump because he appears to be the only one with the perspicacity to comprehend the Islamic threat to the civilised world and the balls to say so. I do not know enough about him to pick out any faults but I strongly suspect there are some.

Of the candidates who stand a chance, I suppose I will have to vote for Hillary. She is a war-monger, in bed with big corporations, and a liar. But I can't see voting for Trump, Cruz, or Rubio who are racists and don't have any conception of what to do. I hope with a Republican Congress Hillary will not be able to do anything crazy.

Sanders. His biggest weakness is that so many Americans still channel the evil spirit of Joseph McCarthy...
