Can I hook up a stove fan/vent hood with a 7 inch outlet to a 6 inch flue? The run to outside is less than 18 inches.?

    You should be fine. The fan is pushing a volume of air at a certain rate. If you chock it down, It might not pull the air that it says it can.

    Yes that short of a distance should be no problems
