How can I connect my tablet to my tv?

My husband is a truck driver and would like to be able to watch the videos and stuff that he plays on the tablet on the tv.

I don't believe a Chromecast or anything like that will work in this situation because the only internet he has is the tablet as a hotspot.

Any ideas appreciated

    Even if you do not have Internet at home, you can still buy a wireless router and provide yourself with a private network with WiFi and Ethernet capability. I guess the tablet will use WiFi, but the TV might use either WiFi or Ethernet.

    Install an App called Twonky Beam on the tablet, and it should allow you to send videos to the TV.

    You can buy a special HDMI cable that is full size on one end and very small on the other assuming his tablet has a mini HDMI port
