Can a RHD import car be converted to LHD?

I see a few GTST Skylines and other jap exclusives on craiglist from time to time, and they are always RHD, I mean that s to be expected, as they come from a RHD market, but switching seats would be annoying too me, so I m just wondering, for future s sake, could a RHD car be converted to LHD? Also how much?

Now why would you vandalize the mighty Skyline GTR like that? Quit being a pussy and learn to drive on the right side. Mailmen do it all of the time with mail trucks. I'd imagine it costing no less than 1000 dollars because they have to remove everything and then flip it around. The dashboard, wiring, glove compartment, etc.. You do know that a good amount of Skyline GTR models are illegal in the US, right? Only ones that mostly aren't are R33s and older since they don't have V Spec modifications. I'm not trying to burst your bubble or anything, but Criagslist is the absolute last place to purchase an imported car, especially a Skyline. It is most likely going to be overpriced and in fact the illegal kind to drive on the roads here. But seriously, don't be a pussy by converting to a left sided steering wheel.

You are looking at well north of 10,000 dollars, it is probably closer 50,000 dollars. You would need to put in a new, dash, instrument cluster, wiring, center console, reroute the vents, create brackets for the pedals, modify the firewall to accommodate the steering column. Then you would have to reroute all of the fuel and brake lines, flip the entire front suspension and numerous other things.

Trust me it is easier to leave it RHD, it is not that difficult to drive with the steering on the wrong side. I drove a LHD Mustang in England for two years and they are RHD country. The hardest thing to do was to see around cars to pass them on rural roads, and that was it.
