How can people in the year 2016 still treat the Bible as though it had all of life's answers, right down to the finest details?

Because for most of them, they were taught to believe it from before they could even comprehend what they were being told.

The Bible still has all of life's answers. God wrote it and God knows the beginning and the ending. No man could write the Holy Bible.

This gets me angry at the idea that we Humans, in the year 2016, celebrate the metaphysical “birth” of the son of the creator of the whole phucking Universe ...And Three wise Men (Kings) following a star!

Details?? The New York Times can’t keep a story straight the day after it happened. But the Bible has word for word, verbatim, full speeches by Jesus that had to be “recorded” several hundred years after the event.

Yeah, makes me angry when they push this nonsense in or public schools and Courts of Law...

If you teach a child to fear questioning authority, they will find it hard to question authority as adults. Talking about the logical or factual errors in religious texts will simply not compute for many people.

Also, what about the benefits of being in the sect? Companionship, shared purpose, opportunity to contribute to good works, connection with history and ancestry, feeling loved and that one was created for a special purpose rather than being a random oops who turned out to be pretty average.

These are not things to sneeze at IMO.

Because the Holy Bible is 100% TRUE. You're reading wrong, so epiphany 101 says you're the untrue one.

Obviously the Bible is a general guide, and doesn't provide the finest details for every situation we encounter. I never met anyone who thought otherwise.

The Bible gives one hope and is the real answer to all of life's prombems.

Because until this day, everything that the bible says is TRUE, God told us humans not to do certain things in the bible, and he called them "Sin"... The reason why he said certain things were sins was because he wants to look out for us... God didn't put sins in the bible just because he wanted to be evil, he put them there because these sins are problem in our everyday life... Like having sex before marriage, you can get pregnant & the baby dad could walk out of your life... and your stuck with the baby, it can cause confusion with the child as he or she gets older, or think about these diseases like stds or hiv, if people would wait until their married then we wouldn't have these problems... but of course the world isn't perfect so yes we have these diseases in this world, alot of people like the blame God for cancer but we don't know where cancer came from all i know is that it got worst over the years... but in the bible it says God gives us freedom of choice, he gives this whole world freedom of choice there are millions of people in the world, and the food has gotten bad America has a high obesity rate and being obese can cause you to die, get diabetes, but in the bible it does say not to Glutton, im not saying all obese people glut or im not saying that people that have diabetes can get it from being obese even though sometimes thats how people get it... it can be a number of things... but this world i terrible because its the world its the people in the world that is causing alot of corruption, like people get drunk and get in the car and then sometimes they end up killing someone or killing them, and in the bible it says not get drunk... No one on this Earth is perfect, not even close... so yes we live in a dangerous world, because of our imperfections.. but God is looking at all of this, and he is sad because he does love every person on this Earth even people that dont believe in him... but he is waiting until everyone knows about him, and he is coming back, with his son Jesus Christ... and for whoever that believes in him should have eternal life, so yes i trust the bible with all of my heart because believe it or not God is only looking out for you, and he is also telling you the way to live in the right way....
