What is the working style of an equine nutritionist?
I know that they create diets and regimens for horses. But do they mostly work on computers, or do they analyze the horse and situation all at once and give the owner the information analyzed, etc?

It depends on the individual, Damon. Most of the equine nutritionists that I've ever met ( and I personally know one who is a nationally known expert in the field) usually have training or expertise in other areas besides that one. The lady I know who is nationally known, for example is also an equine VET and a top level researcher in addition to just being an equine nutritionist. I've met another person in this field who is also a college professor as well. And creating diets for horses is NOT the only thing that equine nutritionists do. They also teach and do research. Some of them act as consultants for the major feed manufacturers. And there are some who work for the federal and state governments.

Ever thought about being a human nutrotionist? Those are good jobs and likely more plentiful than horse ones. Good paycheck plus can develop horse nutrition thing as a avocation.
