0.254 M solution blue dye has absorbance 0.885. What's molar absorbtivity of this solution, assuming pathlength of cuvette (b) is 1 cm?

A 0.254 M solution of blue dye has an absorbance reading of 0.885. What is the molar absorbtivity of this solution, assuming that the pathlength of the cuvette (b) is 1 cm? (Include proper units) Absorbance = ε b C

Select one:

a. 0.225 M-1 cm-1

b. 3.48 M-1 cm-1

c. 0.287 M-1 cm-1

    you have the equation: A = ε b C

so molar absorbtivity is given by: ε = A/b C

where you know A, b and C. So just calculate it
