Affirmative Action racist & stupid?
How is this legal. Like seriously? College admission and job opportunities should be based on merit !!!!! MERIT!
Without the affirmative action in California, UCLA and UC Berkley and other California universities had very high Asian populations. After implementing AA or a form of it, Asian percentages went down drastically (in some cases, got cut in half) while the number of blacks increased.
How can you even justify it? Its a case of, "oh we were forced to admit more blacks even though they don't deserve it"... Asians obviously earned it based on merit more-so because they were the majority when race was not taken into account. OH LETS REMEMBER: Asians are an even smaller minority than Blacks! Woah!
Seriously though, this pisses me off so much! The only defense is more diversity. Which isn't worth it with lower standards.
If they want more blacks and hispanics, they should work harder !!!!!! Look at Asians!!!

That's completely false. Completely. From Fall 2005 to Fall 2015, the number of undergrads who were Asian went from 9,448 of 24,881 total undergrads to 9,700 of 29,585 total. That's 38% of undergrads being Asian to 33% of undergrads being Asian.
That's not even close to half. Too many failed applicants have blamed a secret conspiracy of affirmative actions, but the facts show clearly that the Asian population at UCLA has gone down only five percentage points. The people who failed need to start looking in the mirror for the cause of their problems instead of blaming some conspiracy that reality proves does not exist.

You've got it backwards. Some schools are limiting the number of Asian Americans, but not to admit black- to admit anglo- Americans. using merit, Asian Americans would have ALL the spaces in some elite universities. This is reverse discrimination- in favor of whites.

affirmative action should be abolished.. i would much rather have a campus with deserving smart students than idiots who got in for diversity purposes...
