They are two religions, not races. They are both Semitic, assuming you are speaking of Middle Eastern Jews and Muslims.

Muslim or Islam is not a race its a religion however it started with the Arabs which descended from Abrahams sons Ishmael while Jews are from Isaac. Not all Jews are descendants of Abraham and not all muslims are Arab and vise versa.

They are just religions. Anyone can become a jew or a muslim. The only difference is that it is illegal in some countries to say or do anything offensive against jews. it seems that it is now politically incorrect to say anything offensive to muslims.

Thank God we can still talk about Catholics, Christians and atheists.
