I am broke.I also had to take out loans both subsidized and unsubsidized to pay for my education. It does not seem right that I would owe if I added my school information.

You don't add loans as income. Student loans are not income. You need to ask someone for help filing your taxes if you don't understand how to properly fill out the forms. Do not just guess!
