Julia Gillard is Wales born. So, can other foreigners become Prime Minister of Australia too?

For example, the Senator Penny Wong Born in Malaysia. If Julia Gillard, born in United Kingdom, was Prime Minister of Australia, Penny or other foreign would can become Prime Minister too.

    Yes there have been other foreign born PMs in Australia' four previous prime ministers were born in Scotland, three in England, and one in Chile (Chris Watson).

    Kagaroos and wombats can be Prime Ministers of Australia. It's in their constitution.

    Tony Abbot was born overseas too. To be PM you need to be an Australian citizen (and not a dual citizen) but there is no requirement to be Australian born.

    Yes, in fact 24% of Prime Ministers were born overseas.
