What causes the canine teeth to grow high up in the gum?
I'm a teenager & my canine teeth grew high up, near the top of my gum. I've seen others with these vampiresque teeth before - why do they grow like that? I'm getting braces soon anyways but I just wondered x

Most often, the cause of impaction or malposition is inadequate space in which to erupt. This may also occur because of dense overlying bone or excessive soft tissue.
