Awful description sorry 😂 but it's usually used in contemporary, acro or jazz I think. Like standing up splits with your head down, kind of in a penché and then you swoop down pivoting on the leg on the floor. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? What is it called?

I live in England. My family are expecting me to go down a medical or law route for a career, but I've been acting and dancing since I was 3, and I would rather have a career in performing arts. I'm about to choose my A levels, and I think my family would be very disappointed if I choose drama, if they even let me. What should I do/ any advice?

I have looked at some info online which was talking about not drinking enough while exercising or exercising in warm weather but I get these aches in my calf muscles every night, regardless of what activities I have done. The pain sometimes extends to my toes too. There is an occasional stabbing pain but it usually just aches basically all night, although I rarely get them during the day. Help?!

I'm in grade 8 and advanced 1 ballet. I will be doing my grade 8 exam at the end of this year, but after that I'm not sure what I want to do. Advanced 1 is really hard, and I'm losing motivation to go to ballet. I have danced for 11 years though, and the thought of quitting really upsets me, even though I don't enjoy it. However, I ADORE being on stage dancing, but we only do shows every other year. I want to quit but then again I don't. It's weird. Anyone got any ideas as to what I should do?

I don't plan on doing ballet for a career, I just go for "fun". However, recently I haven't been finding it fun as I'm on a semi-professional level and it's really hard. I can't seem to find the motivation to keep going. It's really good exercise though, and the idea of life without ballet seems really weird. I kinda wanna quit and focus on other things, but part of me thinks I should keep at it. Any tips on gaining motivation and ideas about what I could do much appreciated.
