I'm getting braces in a couple of weeks: please can someone fill me in on every single thing I need to know?

Before I got them I thought I would look SO weird... But I got used to them and I'm thankful that I had them. First of all, it may be painful when you go back monthly for appointments because they tighten your braces, but after a few days it goes back to the normal pressure. Also a lot of food will get stuck in your braces and it was really embarrassing for me because no one would tell me if I had anything in my teeth but yes a lot of food got stuck in my braces and it's really annoying to take out but I would just go to the bathroom and rinse it out or just use my tongue. Another thing is the braces might give you sores but they give you this wax thing to help prevent the braces from hurting you.

Honestly the dentist will tell you everything, so don't worry about it!
