Are there any valid, rational arguments that prove homosexuality is a bad thing?
You would think after thirty or so years, all of these Conservatives, Christians, and Muslims would have found one scrap of evidence to back up their claims but not even one shred of it has been found.
The responses thus far have simply made claims without evidence. I pity you guys. Not even one scrap of evidence to back up your beliefs. Must be agonizing for you.

It seems to me that if there were any real arguments against homosexuality, homophobes would use those and not just make up fake reasons and keep repeating those.
30 years ago the anti-gay campaign was centered around the accusation that gays were all child molesters. They couldn't reproduce, the argument went, so they needed to RECRUIT. Anyone who's old enough will remember Anita Bryant, gospel singer turned orange juice spokesman, traveling around the country to warn us. The issue centered on a move in Dade County, Fl., to ban gay schoolteachers. Which I think was successful but it hurt the anti-gay cause more than it helped! Even Anita Bryant eventually apologized for the divisiveness and mean-spiritedness of this campaign.
Most recently we've been arguing about gay marriage. The Republicans managed to get anti-gay-marriage initiatives on many state ballots, usually in big, important elections, hoping that conservatives and anti-gay rights people would come to vote and while they were there they'd put X's next to a few candidates with (R) next to their names. The argument here was that homosexuality threatens the very institution of marriage.
Well Christians have said that for years but they never really explained how marriage was threatened. When they got the chance to make their case in court, they didn't even try. They lost in the California State Supreme Court, and then in the US Supreme Court--probably the most regressive, reactionary court we've ever had!
So if there -are- any valid, rational arguments, why don't they use those?
