Focus less on the mileage and more on how well the vehicle has been maintained. As for mileage, it depends on the make and model. If I buy a Toyota, I'd expect it to go for 150k miles before it starts to show its age and problems really start popping up. On the other hand, for a Chrysler, I'd count myself lucky if I can get to 100k miles without having a major recall or major problems. For the Acadia, it's one of GM's better built models, so if I were to guess, I'd say 125k miles before repair bills really start coming in.

It's not the mileage that is important. It's the actual condition of the car, as determined by a professional mechanic's inspection. Some cars with 100,000 miles are junk. Others are good to go for at least another 100,000 miles. Only your mechanic can tell you which is which.

It depends if they're highway or city miles. 10000 for a 2008 is not bad at all. For a 2012 still not bad. As long as they have been maintained don't worry. No if a 2012 starts reaching 40 to 50000 start asking questions. 10000 miles is nothing for a used car.

It is not so simple, most modern cars last to 170,000 to 200,000 miles but you need to look at how many miles you plan to drive a year and how long you hope the car will last.

So if you drive 20,000 a year a car with 100,000 miles might last you 5 years, but if you drive 15,000 miles a year and buy a car with 130,000 that car might last only 4 - 5 years. Now if you only drive 10,000 miles a year that same car with 130,000 might last you 7 years.

what you have written is ''' ten thousand ''' == many cars are for sale with less than 100,000 miles and those with over that 100K are going to cost less ..... there is no cut=off for mileage .....

Modern automobiles are generally very reliable and are built and engineered to be able to withstand tens of thousands of miles. As long as vehicle has been fully and properly serviced and maintained it can easily last 200 to 300k miles.
