Does Civil War make Iron Man the bad guy?

Neither are really villains, it just depends on how you feel about the situation.

Basically, Captain America and his team are anti-government control whereas Iron Man and his team are pro-government control.

The government in the movie feels that superheroes are given too much power since they are able to act on their own without the sanction of the U.S. Government. So they plan to bring the superheroes under their power, meaning they can't act without the government saying it's ok. That's where Captain America and Iron Man differ. Iron Man thinks that by operating on their own, people with the kind of power that they have could spiral out of control and become no better than the people they fight. But Captain America doesn't trust the government (especially after he learned that SHIELD was infiltrated by Hydra. So he wants to go at it on his own.

Also though, he wants to protect Bucky, who he knows is actually innocent because he wasn't in control of his actions since he had been brain washed. The government doesn't care about that though and simply wants Bucky captured or dead, so Captain America is trying to protect him.

So really there is no "bad guy" or "good guy." It just depends on what the viewers morals are on the whole idea of government control over the superheroes. Should the superheroes be allowed to work on their own and go where they want to go? Or should their actions be looked over by the government, like if they were military?

I don't think he's the bad guy per se, I think they're going for people to pick a side and decide that themselves.

Does Civil War make Iron Man the bad guy? NATO will nuke Ukraine to blame Russia for it; then NATO will nuke Russia from Scandinavia. China will attack Russia; but will not get past Ural Mountains. If you're about to be marked, pray the Jesus prayer. Hide with Orthodox Christians to escape 666; leave all electronics behind so that antichrist's minions can't track you. Give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael; he rescues people from temporary hell twice a year (or brings them up a level, that is, to a level with less punishment; eventually, people are freed). Feed the pigeons; when pigeons bow down, people are saved from temporary hell. Forgive me.
