Atheists that believe in ghosts...Why do you believe in them?

It would be reasonable to assume that ghosts are of the same composition as god, but we dont know for sure. Paranormal investigators, as far as i know, thinks that ghosts are made up of electromagnetic energy, detectable by an EMF device. Although prone to interference from perhaps the earth's natural magnetic fields.

Evidence ranges from orbs, evps and visual evidence(pictures). However what are ghosts, is still largely a mystery. I dont those evidence can propose anything yet. But sound evidence captured from evp's sometimes suggests that these beings have a degree of of intelligence, enough to sometimes answer questions intelligently though this is very rare.

There are also such thing know as residual hauntings, like a theatre play performed over and over again. "Cold spots" are quite common as these beings seem to be able to drain energy from the atmosphere and other electrical devices directly. Sometimes even directly from humans, fatigues are common.

Im an atheist, im skeptical too. I've never experienced the paranormal however, I've seen evps done before. I would say ghosts might exist, there is a possibility but the definition of ghosts are still very obscure and does not have a solid foundation.

Ive actually did lots of research on this while i was younger and a theist.

Was a BIG fan of paranormal shows like Ghost Adventures and A Haunting.

I highly recommend Ghost Adventures. The way the show was presented kept things captivating. :)

So I was wondering why you believe in ghosts but not gods.

- Ghosts are not supernatural with supernatural powers.

just because i'm an atheist doesn't mean i don't believe in ghosts. it just means i don't believe in god, heaven, or hell.

i believe in ghosts because i believe in the astral plane. we are in the physical plane. i believe in the universe and that energy cannot be destroyed so it sticks around. ghosts go into the astral plane and we stay in the physical plane (well, for now). and sometimes our planes overlap and we can communicate

Yeah, if they proved the existence of ghosts, I'd say that was at least part way towards proving the existence of a larger spirit, but they haven't proven anything like that.
