Personally, me and my spouse do nothing special on Valentine's Day. It's a con that's good for restaurant and other retail trade. We love each other every damned day and can be romantic whenever we want.

Dump him. If he cared about you he would want to make Valentine's Day special for you.

You are not going to be able to convince him to care about a holiday he thinks is "stupid" or change his basic personality. This is a losing battle. Either accept him as he is, or break up with him and find someone who gives you what you're looking for.

If you want more romance you're going to have to find a different guy because it is never going to happen with this one.

Change boyfriends. He is who he is and does not necessarily need or be able to change his personality. Somebody will want him the way he is. And somebody wants you the way you are.
