Microsoft Word crashes upon startup. Help!?
MS Word crashes as I try to open up the program or specific document. The doc flashes and is quickly replaced with an error message. Please see the screenshot for specifics. Thank you!

If it's a pirate copy of Word that's why.
If it's a genuine copy, when was the last time you installed your windows updates? That's in part what they are for - to fix software bugs. As an interim move that may help is to go to your list of programs, find the Microsoft Office program, click on it and do a repair. Sometimes this will fix a genuine copy that's behind on updates, but it's just a temporary fix until you install them.
