why should lesbians date trans women?

trans women are women yes, that is their gender...i respect their pronouns and names

but their sex is male and even post-op trans women have things that lesbians are repulsed by-- male socialization, pheromones, bone structure, that weird v shape....not dating someone isn't oppression i think. there are plenty of women willing to date trans women, just not lesbians.

any counter arguments to this?

Update:

being a lesbian sucks cuz ppl wanna define ur sexuality so bad, i dont get how refusing to date someone based on sex is oppression...we never chose to be gay. =/ i'd still chill with a trans women, but being in a romatnic life with a trans women would be tough for many of us

Update 2:

guess im a troll for being a lesbian...just like my homophobic family would say, they think im fake for liking females **** you...**** i wish i was straight so i wouldnt have to deal with all your LESBOPHOBIC BULLSHIT this hurts us young lesbians trying to find our place in this world FUCKKKK U you guys never support us. i hate homophobes

If you don't want to date trans women, you don't have to date them. You shouldn't listen to their sexual propaganda. You can be attracted to whomever you want to.They aren't entitled to your body.I prefer genetic lesbians as well, especially the feminine ones because they have softer features, which I love.I dislike butch lesbians(LOL)

Don't listen to these morons who try to tell you what you should do with your body.

Source(s): Your boy, your rules. Me, a genetic lesbian.

Well I think you are massively generalising for one thing. Not all trans women have the same body shape etc. And maybe some lesbians prefer their partner to have some of the features you've mentioned? I'm a straight woman but I like feminine men. And how do you know lesbians DON'T date trans women?

    You're really over-thinking this.

For example you're wrong about the pheromones. Bone structure is negligible. Socialization was not male. And most do not have a V-shape.

Then you top it off with:

"there are plenty of women willing to date trans women, just not lesbians."

That's idiotic. Most women do not date other women.

Your problem appears to be prejudice.

No counter argument, but you can strike the male pheromones off your list. They change very shortly after Estrogen is started.

You contradicted yourself. Trans women are not male.

Transsexuals are very insecure about their sexuality AND their gender. The "fight" is the same as the LGB fight, to get society to make them feel more comfortable... and in the same manner as the LGB fight, they're saying things that aren't exactly true to get what they want.

I mean, feminism does it, blacks do it, and politicians do it. Lying for your cause is the way things work.

actually, after long enough on hormones you have sex-appropriate pheromones.

i have relatively narrow shoulders and don't have that v guy shape you mention. some of us are like that.

    male socialization? what's that?

What argument, you have posted no research? To prove your side.
