mac mini g4 osx query?
hi guys
I have acquired a mac mini (g4 cpu,1gb ram and 40gb HDD ) .. currently running tiger 10.4.11 however whats the max osx it will support ... this link ( http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/spe... ) states 10.5.8 which is snow leopard however it also states you need a intel based mac mini

Yes, there is a lot that won't run on a Power PC processor, and browsers are dropping support of it too.
Everymac is pretty accurate with things like this.

It says:
Pre-Installed MacOS: X 10.3.7 (7T11) Maximum MacOS: X 10.5.8
Details: This system cannot run versions of MacOS X more recent than 10.5.8.
10.5.8 is Leopard. 10.6.8 is Snow Leopard which will require an Intel processor hence the G4 cannot run anything above 10.5.8
