Puppies/dogs don't come trained, your responsibility to train it, which requires a lot of patience, constant supervision, contain only when you can't, immediate correction when caught in the act, consistency, diligence, time, minimum 6-18 months, more or less depending on the individual dog, if done properly, to start, on your part.
Once trained you must still enforce what was taught on the daily basis for the life of the dog, 12-17 years.
If you provide sufficient daily exercise (which this breed needs a lot of) regardless of weather conditions, how you maybe feeling (tired/sick/busy), and other obligations such as school, homework, extracurricular activities, childcare (if applicable), work and social life you shouldn't have any problems as a tired dog is a good dog.

A puppy is unlikely to try that. The major area of concern would be knocking it over so be sure it is very secure and stable. Cats are much more interested in fish and probably would try to remove the lid of your aquarium and try a little fishing, but they are much more dexterous than dogs.

By the looks of its position, yes the puppy could jump up against the tank and knock it over or knock the lid off.
It will also be fascinated by the swimming fish and this will induce him to try and get to them.
Move the tank somewhere up high and safe where a pup cannot see or reach it.

" Only if you give him the opportunity! If you are getting a puppy, especially one like the Labrador who will chew up anything and everything, you'll have to puppy-proof your house before he gets into goodness knows what, and ends up on your vet's operating table. If that means moving your fish to a safer place, then that's what you have to do. "
