I'm a Male Doula?

And I've been struggling finding any work at all. I knew it wouldn't be as easy being a guy and I've also been busy with university but I've gotten no clients to work with so far. I don't know what more I could be doing in order to get work but I'd really love to just be giving a chance.

I'm very passionate about birth and it kinda sucks seeing woman who became doula's much more recently than myself have no trouble finding initial prospects.

Woman seem to have no problem with male doctors, obstetricians, nurses and midwives but a doula seems to be treated differently.

    Most of a doulas work has nothing to do with birth.

    It's a much more personal role, imo, and probably would have made my husband uncomfortable. I'm sorry you're not finding work. Maybe changing your title from doula to "professional birth coach," or you know, create a different title for yourself. Good luck.
