A random Dance Moms question.?

Ok, I normally don't watch Dance Moms cause I don't care for Abby, but I did binge watch a few episodes from this year. While I know she has checked out with all the legal problems she has, why would she insist that the kids know everything and don't really need classes? As a teacher shouldn't she be encouraging them to take more classes and continue to work and improve technique? She has said they know what they need to know, they should know how to stretch, they have been taught technique, I don't need to teach them. Why would anyone let their kid learn from someone who thinks by age 10 you know everything you need to know?

Of course the legal problems are occupying her mind, but I think she has always been a few ants short of a picnic. She is involved in competition "dance", a form that uses childish flexibility and then discards the dancers once puberty brings physical changes. She preys on the "hey, look at me" phase in child development, and there is a sort of dance version of Stockholm Syndrome at work here because some of the moms were her students when younger and are living their lives through their daughters. That is why they don't let their kids get better training to develop the solid technique needed to carry them through into adulthood. Some of the kids have landed jobs as children in videos, but when they are older they will lose those jobs despite Abby saying "I will make you a star" to dancers with better training. (Have you seen videos of her dancers on pointe? Really bad.)

My question is how could anyone in her right mind continue a "reality" series that shows her as such a monster with the smile of a snake (it never reaches her eyes), using and discarding children? Is she so greedy for the money?

And I hate myself for watching occasionally, just as I hated myself for watching that awful series "Flesh and Bone".

    Reality show? It isn't.
