Alternitive for the girl name socorro?
This was my grandmothers name and it means help. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for a similar sound or meaning?

I love the name Sequoia. I'm not sure if it's quite what you're looking for but the look of the name is quite similar to Socorro. Socorra and Sacora are also girl's names, if either of those can work.

Socorro is from the title given to the Virgin Mary, Maria del Socorro.
Alexis comes from the Greek word alexo which means to help, to defend.
Ophelia comes from the Greek word ophelos which means help.
To the best of my knowledge, there are no feminine names that start with SOC, SOK, ZOC or ZOK.
Perhaps you could use Socorro as your child's middle name.
