How hard would it be to go from jet black back to light blonde?

I have natural light brown hair but currently have light blonde hair. I'm thinking about dying my hair jet black but if I was to not like it how hard would it be to get it back to light blonde?

All right here I go... This is going to be a VERY long answer so bare with me.

I naturally have dark brown, almost black hair, pale skin, bright green eyes, and freckles. Last year I decided that I wanted to go blonde. So I spent four months getting my dark hair to that "perfect" platinum blonde shade. I lost 8" of length since most my hair broke off, and the hair I had left felt like horse hay. I deep conditioned it and took good care of it but nothing was going to repair that damage.

I had this blonde color for one year, dying my roots every 4 weeks, and loading on the extensions to keep it looking like I had long, healthy blonde hair.

After I went through a horrible break up with a guy who LOVED my fake blonde hair, I decided, SCREW this ****. Im going back brunette... So I had my hair colored back dark brown, lost the extensions and have started taking really good care of my hair.

My hair is medium length now, but so healthy and strong compared to what it used to be. Im trying to grow it out super long and even though I like blonde hair, I know its not for me.

Maybe in a few years I'll get blonde highlights but that's it. Blonde just isn't me unless I want to wear a wig 24/7.

So, if you do go black, know that black hair is gorgeous. Second off, know that if you do decide to get highlights or even go fully blonde, it will be hard. Not impossible but hard, and the hair you have left will be very difficult to work with.
