car aftermarket cd player plays, no sound?
Pioneer cd player
Everything plays, tuner plays, cd plays. Mp3 plays. Just no sound. So i thought the radio was bad. So i replaced it. Installed a new one...same problem! No sound so i returned da new radio cause obviously its nothing wrong with the one i have. So since its not the player, what may the problem be then? i even tried pluggin headphones in the jack of the old and new cd player and still got no sound through headphones

Lately there are lots of folks having this same problem. There must be a harness confusion situation. Tell you what; study the color code of your vehicle and wire the radio directly to the speakers that are in the car. Look your car up in this site; "the12volt.com", in the vehicle wiring section. The instructions that came with your stereo tell which wires go from the radio to which speaker. The color code of the wires already in the car may not match the radio or aftermarket harness.

Next time you ask this same question, could you add some useful details? What's the year and model of the vehicle? Does it have a "premium" audio system, like Bose or JBL? Did you use an adapter harness to install the new head unit?
That's an auxiliary input, not a headphone jack.

The problem is obviously you. Incorrect installation. Failure to read the installation manual and follow directions. Failure to read the troubleshooting section. Failure to read the operating instructions and learn all of the features. Failure to contact customer service.
