The Ancient Greeks are reported as being in 8th to 6th centuries BC but I think the civilisation stretched back almost 1,200 years before Christ.

When you speak about things like pedophilia in history, you have to remember to maintain you place in history.

We can not enforce our beliefs on history as if we do that we run the risk of amending it to conform to our standards. In fact we have done this in places like Egyptian history where we have disfigured art because someone in modern history (today) did not like the idea that the ancient Egyptians made things based on the sexual act of all descriptions.

The people of today destroyed this as they did not feel comfortable with what they saw.

While today in western society its not accepted, it is today is some cultures and it was in many place in history. We have absolute no right to repeat the distressful things we did to the Egyptian art.
