'DO YOU HAVE TO AMEND after you e-file, when you forget the 1095-A'?

1095-A arrived late, IRS asked for my 8962 it in a letter. They said just send the 8962 and a copy of the 1095-A. DO I need to amend my 1040?

    No, you don't amend. You respond to the letter with the completed 8962 and a copy of the 1095-A.

    The whole point of the letter is to avoid the expense of doing the 1040X.

    If you were insured all year you don't need to do anything.
