Why do liberals deny that Obama was born overseas when he openly acknowledges that he was born in Hawaii?
You can't drive to Hawaii from the mainland

Hawaii is a US State with the same constitutional status as any other US state. The term "born overseas" means "born in a foreign country", which is not applicable here.
In addition, the reason why this is relevant is because the constitution requires the president to be a "natural born citizen" of the United States, which someone born in the USA definitely is. Being a US state, Hawaii 100% satisfies this criterion.
It really seems like you're just trying to twist the facts to support this increasingly untenable conspiracy theory. While the "birther" craze has largely died down, even when it was going, it was abundantly clear that the issue at stake was whether or not Obama was born in the US. You are currently the only person I know of who seems to think this refers to the US mainland only. Hawaii is a US state so it is not "overseas" in any relevant sense of the term.

"Overseas" generally refers to foreign countries. Here in Australia, we have a state called Tasmania. It's a bit like Hawaii in the sense that it's not connected to the country and you can't drive there from the mainland, but we don't consider it "overseas".
Since Hawaii is an American state, people generally just say that he wasn't born overseas.

To be fair, I think they mean 'not in America'. To also be fair, I still have seen no proof that he was born in America. Why did it take him so long to produce proof? What, nobody in his whole damn outfit, none of his close supporters thought maybe he should have the basic documentation necessary to get the job? If that's not due to him being born in another country then it must be due to his crew being morons.

It's still not usually considered overseas, even though it is physically over the sea. Overseas connotes a foreign country.

Or vice versa. But wait, I think the democrats believe that you and people of your ilk are trying to make out that he has no claim to be president due to his birth. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not!

Because the term overseas is normally used to denote foreign. But I like the question.
