Is the only reason why anyone votes for Democrats because they want to get free welfare checks, Obamaphones, and food stamps?

Working people like me all vote for the GOP because they're the party of small government, fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, and good economic policies.

What can we do to stop being outnumbered by people who vote for a living instead of work for a living? Is it going to have to get to that point where socialism only works until you run out of other people's money???

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh talk about this again this morning and it made me so angry I clinched my fists just thinking about this.

Yes and no. Most vote Democrat because there is some kind of cash benefit from having government squeeze money out of the private sector into their pockets. I have a friend that doesn't agree with Democrats but still votes for them because he is in the Union. Why, because he cashes in in the short term. Some like the rich vote for Democrats because an excessively regulated economy destroys their smaller competitors. Others are just arrogant ****** that think they should be in control of those they find less deserving. Then there are others, such as a high level manager I know, that enjoys a employers market where the employees can't find new jobs. Welfare in my experience isn't the biggest driving force for Democrat votes. Most people I know that needed any type of government assistance were not proud of it and quickly got back on their feet. Then again I know others that made welfare their full time occupation, these are the people that voted for Democrats religiously. It is claimed the right is driven by greed, I beg to differ. Last but not least are the weak of mind that believe the lies that have been told over and over again. These people are the unwitting enablers of those that profit from big government.

Yeah, I can tell you're FOX #1 fan. It's not even an Obamaphone, its a Reagan era program, updated during the Clinton administration, has nothing to do with Obama. It's not even taxpayer funded. The big dollar and a quarter per meal that you get from Food stamps and the poverty level amounts you get on welfare, aren't much of a lure for anyone with enough intelligence to get a job. And many who do have jobs make so little they still qualify for food stamps.

I feel sorry for people who believe that crap. I really do, they're sitting in front of a machine that can clear things up and they don't use it except to read the latest hate filled conservative column.

No. There are Democrats who believe in equality of opportunity rather than absolute circumstance, and who truly vote to help others rather than for themselves. However, a large number of Democrats do merely want a higher minimum wage, or better welfare. Others believe that these are a good thing, and although they do not benefit from them, vote for them to help others. Finally, there are the ones with the wacko theories about corporations ruling the country, who are the most dangerous because they can cite various millionaires being jerks as concrete evidence, and a large number of people buy it. However, you should not judge someone based upon their political stance, because a Democrat could be any one of those, and most do not know which they are.

What part of the massive tax cut for the rich that every GOP candidate is pushing is good for the middle class? Every single GOP candidate will blow a hole in the budget and explode the deficit, all so that Paris Hilton's heirs don't have to work a day in their life for the next 20 generations. Not a single one of these clowns has a hope of balancing the budget. Not only are they going to cripple the ability of the government to bring in revenue, they are going to increase spending on the military.

We will look back on the days of GWB and wonder how he was the fiscal conservative.

What is the military industrial complex but a gigantic racket paid for by the taxpayer? Think about it. Lockheed gets tax money to build a new jet, every state competes for the contracts, it is 100% tax money paid, then the US state department negotiates with some foreign country to buy the jet, the payment goes to Lockheed, and the state department celebrates with champagne.

It is a pure business racket.

Protest that, not some kid getting a lousy grilled cheese sandwich at school.

  • I spent many years voting for Republicans, and while they talked about small government, fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, and good economic policies they didn't deliver once elected. Instead they were anti-labor, started wars, and wanted to rule America with an iron fist. Sure, Republicans talk a good fight, but they don't do what they say they are going to do. Finally I decided that Democrats suck slightly less than Republicans.

By FAR the primary reason any American votes for a Democrat as President is because they are patriotic enough to own US Stocks, something we can safely conclude that YOU do not do, (unlike a majority of your fellow Americans) I assume it is safe to conclude?

In 2008 AND 2012, Obama received almost twice as many votes as there are registered Democrats....why did YOU imagine that happened?

Republican Presidents have been BAD for US stocks, on average, since 1929!

Most conservatives vote for Republican Members of Congress, but the ones who own stocks AND CAN COUNT also vote Democrats into the White House!

    Basic Math.

Source(s): BTW....did you know that Hudson "Rush" Limbaugh is a fully-paid-up member of AFTRA, a division of the AFL-CIO? https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=rush%20limbau... ....kinda puts his whining about Unions in a different light, huh?

The founding fathers only let Landowners vote. Representation without taxation!! If you have no dog in the race you have no business voting. Now we are being controlled by the poor, taking our money.

Lots of people vote for Democrats because they are envious and resentful of successful people. Bernie is a good example of this.
