Released mouse? Will it survive? find its family?

Will it find its nest and family? Will it survive the cold and fear?

Woke up at 2 am to squeaking and a found a poor mouse cornered by my 2 cats. It was frozen in fear so I caught it gave it a raisin which is was too frightened to eat and released it. I released it near some grass/a gap from a garage and wall with wood in the gap and trees near the other side of the gap. (I don't know if it went that way it was dark)

Will it find its nest and family? Will it survive the cold and fear?

I release mine too and hope for the best. I usually get them when they try to raid the bird cages for seed. I put them out near water and with some seed for food. I hope they survive and that they survive out of my house.

I am sure it will find it's nest and family. Of course it's very likely it's nest and family are INSIDE YOUR HOUSE. I am not kidding. But you shouldn't worry too much about that. You have two cats. But next time let them do their job.

Add on::: just would like to add this mouse didn't "sneak" into my house it was my cat who decided to catch it it was barley moving it was so terrified and to get into my room there would've been 3 + flights of stairs so definitely my cat who took it in

If you released it within a couple miles of your house, it will find its way, all right. Straight back into your house.
