I gave my email to a girl at the mall?

Some simple facts, you dont speak thai, she does not speak english, you met for a short time in a shopping mall and had to use hand signals to even half understand each other, so you arent likely to be having in in depth converstaions about world politics any time soon. She didnt email you because A. you have no common language, B. she may have came across as friendly, but was probably just being polite and cant be bothered with the effort of meetings for coffee along with all the hand signals. And C. she probably doesnt buy the friendly foreign guy thing any more than anyone else reading this. Would you be persuing this any further if it was a thai guy... I dont think so. Dont let a pretty face make you blind to reality. You may be lucky and meet some nice Thai people who can speak english and have the desire to make foreign friends but the reality for most travellers there is you will meet a whole lot of other westerners. If you really do want to meet a Thai women who you could potentially have a relationship with, first admit it to yourself, and secondly, do realise that not every attractive polite woman will be mutually interested. And if you go to bars etc.. be carefull not to get to involved with women you meet, because to be honest you seem like someone who would not stand a chance with street wise Thai women, you will probably be a lot wiser at the end of your trip.
