Should we switch horses or ride our own?

I'm giving my friend some fun Barrel and Pole Bending lessons today. My mare is already trained but her mare hasn't even been walked on the pattern before. My mare won't run unless I'm on her, only walk/trot. I've done quite a few lessons on her, barrels, poles, or just regular riding lessons. Should we switch horses today or ride our own? I feel her and her horse could benefit from a switch.

I would first ride your own horses, that way you can teach some barrel & pole bending skills to her, so she can work on it with her horse. Then you could switch horses, so you can work a bit on her horse, and she can try out your horse. Just do whatever you think is best, and have fun!
