Could be a behind the scenes deal made between Obama and Putin......these are two major world leaders, of course they're talking. Hell, look at the cease fire that's holding. None of the actors in syria wanted to stop fighting. Not the rebels or Assad. It's being held because Russia and the US are leaning on them and forcing them, their proxies, to hold the cease fire

Obama worked out a deal behind the scenes with Putin. He's trying to add anything he can to his legacy to boost the Democrats in the upcoming election.
