What happens if I'm arrested and can't afford bail and I'm a full time college student?

I'm a 22yr old, female College student at a community college in Colorado, US. I'm a biochemistry major.

I've been on probation for 2 years and 4 months for a domestic violence charge that happened on new years a couple years ago. Two months ago I was scheduled for a court date because I had failed to complete my community service on time (I moved from denver to ft collins and there were complications and I was hoping to get an extension)...

However, I missed my court date because I had the date marked down wrong in my calendar and now there's a warrant out for my arrest!!! When I was arrested originally with the DV, bond was $400. If bond is $400 or more this time, there is NO WAY I will be able to pay, I just had to quit my job because school and homework became too demanding so I'm almost completely broke and my parents are in a terrible financial situation as well. I wouldn't be able to afford an attourney.

Is there any way I can "stay off the radar" until the end of the semester and then turn myself in during summer break and go serve my time then?

What should I do? If I am arrested now, I'll miss class and fail. School is extremely important to me, and I messed up big time by missing the court date.....can anyone give me advice on what I should do in this situation?

There is no bond on a warrant arrest, you will be processed, held in jail and appear in court in handcuffs before the judge

There is no longer any chance of getting out. You either pay the original fine, warrant costs, court costs in full or you go back to jail for what ever amount of days the judge gives you

When you are picked up, they will throw you in jail. You will sit there until they have a judge ready for you to face and tell the judge why you missed…. Usually, that is the next day. You will have a chance to explain. Then, it will be up to the judge what to do with you, whether it will be a fine, or jail, more probation or what.

Ask your friends to give you legal assistance if you can't afford yourself or just move to another state.

Find your Legal Aid department in your area and tell them everything you wrote in your question above. They should be able to review your case and advise you of your options.
