Question about Giant leopard moth caterpillar?

So I found a caterpillar. It's definitely a giant leopard moth, but I think it might be injured. It's been leaking some kind of yellow goo all day from its mouth, and now there's orange clear liquid near the other end. Is this normal? I'm a little worried about him

Many caterpillars will regurgitate or even emit a foul tasting secretion if they feel threatened.

Caterpillars also poop a lot. Really sounds a bit normal.

If you want to keep it until it morphs into an adult moth, it is fairly easy to do.

A note about keeping outside,,don't put the cage in direct sunlight, you will cook your caterpillar.

They have glands in the thorax region that put out a liquid for defense. Yellowish drops are sometimes seen coming out from the adults when they are handled or threatened. The liquid is a chemical defense against predators. Maybe you should let it go and let it live out its life cycle. Sometimes it's best to let nature take its course and not interfere. This is life in the wild.
