    1)

    Surface area = 4 π r^2

    = 4 π (2.4)^2

    = 72.3823

    Volume = (4/3) π r^3

    = (4/3) π (2.4)^3

    = 57.9058

    2)

    Surface area = 2(LW+LH+WH)

    L= Length W= Width H= Height

    Area = 2[(3)(5)+(3)(3)+(5)(3)]

    = 2[15+9+15]

    Area = 78

    Volume = Length x Width x Height

    = (3)(5)(3)

    Volume = 45

    1. find the volume and surface area of a sphere with a radius of 2.4

    V = 4/3 pi r^3....................volume of sphere

    = 4/3 * pi * (2.4)^3

    = 50.91 cm^3

    S = 4pir^2 ............... surface area of a sphere

    = 72.38 cm^2

    2. A large box has a dimensions of 3 ft × 5 ft × 3

    V = 3 x 3 x 5

    = 45 cm^3

    A = 2(5 x 3) + 2(3 x 3) + 2(5 x 3).............. for a closed box

    = 30 + 18 + 30

    = 78 cm^2

    A = 2(5 x 3) + 2( 3 x3 ) + 5 x 3...............for an open box

    = 30 + 18 + 15

    = 63 cm^2
