What does this mean?

So me and this guy would always be texting like every day for at least 3 hours now we barely talk why would that be?

    I don't text, but I'm inclined to believe he has a new interest, or he actually had to start working, and 3 hour conversations are off limits.

    Did you try texting him back again after a while. And if so then forget him and move on. He was a jerk.
