Would you rather be a King in medievel times, or a middle class person in a modern world?

depends what you want from life

there is a good chance even the average person in medieval times had a better quality of life than middle classes in the modern world

My standard of living has gone up since I was a child but my quality of life has certainly gone down

definitely middle class in the modern world. I would hate to do without all the comforts and conveniences of modern life.

Those parts of the modern world with access to clean water, anaesthetics and central heating are definitely preferable to any medieval palace.
