Is there a way you can get amp to shut off when you turn receiver off?

Google smart power strip.
They turn off some of the outlets when the "control" outlet stops using power.
Some of them turn off some (or all) outlets when each particular outlet uses less than a certain amount of power. This is to truly turn off devices that go into a low power mode but aren't actually off when you turn them "off". That's not what you're looking for. Look for smart power strips that have one outlet control other outlets.

if the reciever has a plug in the back labeled "switched" anything plugged into the reciever will turn off.
