Why is the NRA gun fanatic's union silent on the petition to allow open carry at the GOP convention?

Shouldn't they be leading the charge followed by 2nd Amendment loving candidates (puppets) of the Republican party?

    I have a permit to carry and live in Cleveland. I do NOT support open carry at the Convention. NOT... exactly rocket science.
