McDonald's Interview?

I have a McDonalds Interview in a week and I need help as this is my first job interview (im still in high school):

-- How do I dress? I'm a girl and not sure what kind of top and was wondering if jeans was a bad idea (they're not ripped or anything just normal skinny)?

-- What does 'closed low-heeled, non-skid shoes' mean? I only own air maxes, could i get away with wearing them?

-- Where would I get interviewed? Like would I be in front of everyone or just by myself in the face-to-face part? (I live in Australia, VIC if that helps).

-- Just other general things I'd need to know, bc I'm so scared! (Questions I might be asked would help heaps and preferably sample answers to help me)

Take note of what you see the McDonald's employees wearing and dress in a similar fashion. Jeans would probably be fine. They're asking you to wear a sneaker type shoe. Air maxes should be fine. If the place is fairly empty they may conduct the interview at a table where customers sit, or behind the counter in an office. Normally they ask about any previous employment, how you would deal with an angry customer, your ability to work in a fast paced environment and things of that nature.

Designer jeans would be OK. They mean sneakers. Admit to the interviewer that you are nervous. Remember, what is the worst thing that can happen? Nothing - if you don't get the job, nothing happens. Sit up in your chair. Smile. Speak up. Make eye contact. Turn off your phone. Be eager. Tell the interviewer you like it when it's busy because that makes the day go by faster. Remember, the reason you are there is because they need to hire someone, and McDonalds is used to hiring people who have never worked before and training them how to work.

Just make sure your clothes are clean with no rips or holes, and no "loud" shirts - shirts with writing on them, like concert shirts, logos, etc. No sandals, no heels.

Don't forget to have one or two questions ready to ask them at the end of the interview. One I always ask is "what would you say my greatest challenge would be during my first six months on the job?"

Good luck, you'll do great! Your replies to others' answers demonstrate you are friendly and positive, that counts for a lot and will take you far in life : )

I went to 2 different interviews.

One was just straight out bullshit questions like why do you want to work here?

    "What does team work mean?"

"if you had one person in the group who wasn't participating what would you do?"

"If you had to name 3 traits about yourself what would they be?"

It was all mostly definition questions at the first mcdonald's I applied at but I didn't get the job lol..

Second one (I got the job at) it was basic and easy straight to the point. Just asked why I wanted to work here and to tell some things about myself lol and I got the job.

BASICALLY it depends on how serious the store is. My current McDonald's is a little of both but they aren't hard. They like to have fun and yeah..

I was hired 3 days later

Wear appropriate clothing. They interviewed me at one of their random tables lol.

Closed = the top isn't open- your whole foot is covered, so no pumps etc.

Low heeled = no high heels, nothing over 1.5cm, id say.

Non-skid = grippy, not smooth bottomed.

Wear something with sleeves of some sort, nothing too tight, but it doesn't matter that much. Be confident and polite and you will be fine.
