For the parents out there?

It really depends on your parent's values, what they'll allow under their roof. Some parents are fine with it, some parents aren't. You should respect whatever they decide, it's their house and their rules, but you really need to ask them what their policy is on girlfriends of yours sleeping in your room, now that you're an adult.

As for how your parents will react to the girl in question, your dad will probably really like her and find her attractive and your mom will probably feel somewhat jealous and protective of you, and want to make extra sure that this girl is worthy of you. If you were a girl and bringing home a boy, it'd be the opposite. When it comes to this sort of thing, Freud was right!

They may be weird or they may be cool about it though. Now that you're an adult though, you have every right to tell your parents to treat your girlfriend well, and insist on a standard of behavior towards her that you think is respectful and appropriate. I was lucky that my mom basically gave me permission to take her aside and tell her off if she ever is overbearing towards any girls I bring home. It hasn't ever really been a problem, but I'm still always a bit nervous bringing a girl home to meet my folks. It's probably always going to be that way.

You are about crazy unless your family has no morals to bring your girlfriend over with them there to sleep with. This would never happen at my parents house.

No, i wouldnt let her sleep over. Yes, i would ask her 100 questions. I would also pull out your baby pictures and show them to her and tell lots of embaressing stories that I have been saving for years for just this occassion.
