First you need to analyze your weightlifting or other gym workouts in which you need lifting belts. If you exercise with heavy weights than it is must for you to choose high quality lifting belts as professionals did. While compromising on money and material quality will give you nothing.

That you have one built into your body already, the transverse band. It mimics what you have and hopefully have been working already. There are some occasions you might want the redundant backup but it's not a crutch. If you need all the wraps and bands and belts to lift 500lbs, take them off and build your stabilizers at 200 lbs.

They are a waste of money.

The only time you need a belt is if you are a pro and lifting some serious shoulder press.

    They are a useless fad.
