Question about Microsoft Outlook 2010?

Is there a way to default the reading pane to "off"? I am really getting tired of turning this thing off every time I open a data file. Good Lord does MS just get a kick out of annoying people who really have to use these programs to WORK?

    Open outlook

    Click the view tab

About middle ways, but a little to the right of the middle, you should see a "Layout" group. In the middle of this group is the reading pane tab. Click it. Then click off.

It comes default to the reading pane on because Microsoft learned from businesses that the vast majority of users at companies want the reading pane turned on.
