    He was affable and charming with a nice sense of humor. Some people don't know diddly-squat about politics and vote for the person they like - whether he's any good or not. Plus Republicans had no reason not to vote for him; they knew they had a winner when he was nominated.

    People liked him because he symbolized a time gone by that they wanted to go back to. Many people were scared of what the country was becoming and he told them them that everything was going to be all right, that things were going to be like they had been in the good old days. Meanwhile his administration helped the very wealthy to loot the country from here to Sunday--the very thing that was turning the country into the things that people were scared about.
