Perpendicular bisector math problems?

I was given a math sheet, and they re asking some questions our teacher never talked about, so I m very confused. This is due tomorrow, so I need help now! All these questions are multiple choice answer. The questions are:

Line segment DE is 3.4 m long. A perpendicular bisector intersects DE at F. How long is DF?

Line segment MN is bisected at P. NP is 10cm long. How long is MN?

Line segment QS is bisected at R. QR is 10 cm long. How long is RS?

    "Bisect" means "cut in half".

    So F is the midpoint of DE; so DF = 3.4 m / 2 = 1.7 m,

    etc.

DE is BISECTED. So, DF is half as long as DE.
