Why do you think Obama is now in favor of homosexual activity?

If by "homosexual activity" you mean "equal rights", probably because as a president he's supposed to be representing all his citizens, not just the straight ones.

A lot of people who used to oppose gay marriage are now in favor...maybe it's a legitimate change of heart and maybe it's just political expediency, depends on the person. As long as we're getting rid of certain prejudices, so much the better.

Because this is a democracy, not a theocracy. Whether or not he finds it repulsive, he at least understands that religion has no place in law-making.

He's not "in favor" of it. He's simply not in favor of discrimination based on it. It's like, people who are pro-choice don't "love" abortion.
